Millennials are drinking less, and sales of non-alcoholic beer are up 3.9% on average over the last five years. Sober bars and sober parties are moving from big cities to smaller suburbs, which is leading restaurants to become innovative in crafting Mocktails.

Today we talked with Shannon Standish, owners of the Yard and Bullet Proof Meals, about her decision to live a sober lifestyle in 2020 and options her staff is creating for others who are also choosing to live the sober life. I also share a bit about my decision to live two years sober after becoming a dad. 

Here are two of her favorite sober recipes:

Orange ginger mule
1 oz lime
1/2 oz agave
1 dash orange bitters
3 shakes cinnamon
Shake pour over ice in mule
Top with ginger beer

Blackberry cucumber smash
1 oz blackberry simple syrup
1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
4 slices cucumber
Muddle all
Shake with ice
Strain over bucket glass with ice
Top with tonic
